(Pure Crytalline Essential Amino Acids Infusion)
 
Astymin-3 ampoule contains all ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, SEMI ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, Glycine and Sorbitol. Astymin-3 improves nutritional status, increases protein synthesis, builds body resistance and shortens recovery period. Astymin-3 provides 0.262 gm of Nitrogen equivalent to 1.64 gms of Proteins (HBV)


Composition:
Each ml. contains :

L-Arginine HCl USP 8 mg L-Phenylalanine USP 8.7 mg
L-Histidine HCl H2O USP 4 mg L-Threonine USP 5.4 mg
L-Isoleucine USP 5.5 mg L-Tryptophan USP 1.8 mg
L-Leucine USP 12.3 mg L-Valine USP 6.1 mg
L-Lysine HCl USP 22.3 mg Glycine I.P. 10 mg
L-Methionine USP 7.1 mg Sorbitol I.P. 50 mg
Water for Injections I.P. q.s.

Compatability :
 Proven compatibility with Dextrose 5% & 10% in water, Dextrose 5% & 10% in Saline, Sodium Chloride Injection, Sodium Lactate, Lactated Ringer’s Injection & Electrolytes.

Indications:
 Pre & Post Surgical conditions, Gastroenteritis, Acute Diarrhoea, Severe illness, Malnutrition.

Dosage:
Adults: One to two ampules to be infused per day.
Infants: 0.20 gms - 0.25 gms of Nitrogen/kg body weight.

Directions for Use:
The contents of one ampoule should be added to 500ml of transfusion fluid.

Drip Rate:
Initially 15-20 drops/minute, can be increased to 30-40 drops/minute.
Direct Intravenous Injection is also possible, by slow administration, at the rate of 20cc in 2 minutes.
