Composition:

TILSTIGMIN Injection 1 ML and 5ML
Each ml contains
Neostigmin Methylsulphate I.P. 0.5 mg

TILSTIGMIN Tablets
Each tablet contains
Neostigmin Bromide 15 mg

Mode of Action:
Neostigmin being an anti-cholinesterase, blocks the action of cholinesterase on acetylcholine. This raises the levels of acetylcholine which is necessary to reverse the block created by non depolarising group of muscle relaxants.

In Myasthenia Gravis patients, it increases the levels of Acetylcholine, thereby helps in improving the Neuro Muscular transmisson.

Dosage:
Injection :As curare antagonist, to neutralize the effect of Pancuronium Vecuronium Atracurium and other curare like muscle relaxants, 2-10 ampoule I.V.

Tablets :Myasthenia gravis 5-20 tablets spread over the day.

Injection : Reversal of Neuro muscular relaxation
Tablet : Myasthenia gravis
